Hello everyone!

It's hard to believe that this is the last week of school. During this week students would normally be packing up their belongings, playing games and thinking about the good times they had in grade 3. It has definitely been an interesting year but we some how made it through.
I had a wonderful time getting to know your child and watching them grow. They are definitely different people from the first day of school. I am sorry that I wasn't able to do my traditional good bye activities with the class and to give them that one last hug good bye. Please know that I am sending out a virtual hug to all of my students. I will truly miss you guys.
I hope to see them all in the fall as junior students! Congratulations on all your hard work and enjoy your time off this summer!

Here are some phtotos that I have received so far from those that finished their painting this past week.

I received this picture of Elena and her sister visiting their grandparents and 'igniting hope'.
Just looking at their faces I think the girls did a great job at lifting their spirits!

The message says "Dear Nonno and Nonna, We love you very much, Have faith, Be strong, Everything will be alright."

Hello Parents,

I was so excited to read everyone's adventure story on Book Creator. Thanks for all your hard work.
I have a few more to look at then I will make the books available to everyone in the class to view. I will let you know when they're available.
Thank you to Elena for sending in a picture of her art activity from this past week. She actually made 2- one for her grandmother and one for her grandfather.
I'm sure they loved it!

If anyone else has pictures please send them in to me. I would love to post them. It could be an example of you 'igniting hope'.

Take care

Hello everyone,

I just received this beautiful picture of Catherine 'igniting hope'. I like how she has incorporated our Religion diorama in her picture. She said she is sending her diorama of Mary to her grandmother.
Thank you so much for sharing your picture with the class Catherine! I know your grandmother will appreciate it!
P.S. - Milo looks adorable in this picture!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

A reminder that our google meet is tomorrow at 11am. The link is in Hapara. Hope to see you then.

Tomorrow is the start of Education Week. This years theme is 'Igniting Hope'.  While it isn't going to be our usual type of week, there will be lots of ways that we can celebrate all the great work that students have been doing all year long.

A letter was sent out to parents and it gave some great ideas of what you can do to show 'igniting hope'.

Monday - For the ones we love - send a message of hope to someone in your family.

Tuesday - For the ones who teach us - send a message of hope to your educator(s).

Wednesday - For leaders - send a message of hope to a leader in your community/world
(government leaders, school board leaders, your parish priest, Archbishop Prendergast, Pope Francis)

Thursday - For those in need and those who care for them - send a message of hope to a nursing home, hospital, The Mission, Shepherds of Good Hope, frontline and healthcare workers.

Friday - For yourself - send yourself a message of hope - for today and the future.

I encourage you to send in pictures of 'igniting hope' to me or the school email account. I would love to see all the ways that you have shown hope throughout this time.

This is how we showed our support for all front line workers.
We were shining our light for them!

I would like to thank everyone for all they are doing for their families and for their learning. You are wonderful and I'm so happy to say that I'm your teacher!

Thank you, you make me so proud!
Have a wonderful week!
